Pinea

La Cambre ENSAV _ BA1 2013-2014

Within the scope of the annual CRUSO contest, this project has won the 2014 edition; the creterion being to design a  piece of furniture made for the most  part out of wood.  Pinea has been exhibited alongside the belgian designer Jean-François D’Or and his table “June” at the Design September event in Brussels in 2014. The project can still be seen on Cruso’s website

Pinea can be multiplied and therefore serve as a giant coathanger as well as an elegant divider. The simplicity of the junction is provided by a central axis of pale pitch pine in which rods of different sizes interlock in order to create the attachment points. The design is hold together by its own consisting elements without the use of any tools like nails or glue.
